SocialWorkU Terms of Service
By using SocialWorkU (the "Services") you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Services for an organization, you represent you are authorized to bind it.
You must be at least 16 to use the Services and 18 to enter paid agreements. You are responsible for the accuracy of your information, the security of your credentials, and activity under your account.
SocialWorkU provides career, education, and licensing resources for the social work profession, including jobs and employer tools, program directories and exam prep, licensing guides, career data, renewal reminders, a supervision marketplace, document storage (the Vault), and related tools. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.
Candidates. You represent that your education, licensure, supervision hours, and CEU information is accurate. Falsifying credentials may result in termination. We do not guarantee employment, supervision, or licensure outcomes.
Employers & posters. You are responsible for the content, accuracy, and legality of listings and for compliance with employment, advertising, and equal-opportunity laws. No discriminatory, misleading, or applicant-pays listings. If you display the four signals (supervision frequency, caseload size, LCSW-hours eligibility, CEU reimbursement), you must represent them accurately. Candidate data may be used only for recruitment — not sold or misused. Paid plans are tiered by active listing volume; pricing is shown at sign-up. SocialWorkU is a platform, not the employer or recruiter, and does not guarantee any hire or outcome.
Supervisors. If you offer supervision through the Services, you represent that you hold an active, unencumbered license meeting your state board's requirements. Any supervisory relationship is a separate agreement between supervisor and supervisee; SocialWorkU is not a party and assumes no liability for it.
Schools & programs. If you claim a profile, you represent you are authorized and that program details, tuition, deadlines, and accreditation are accurate and current.
You retain ownership of content you submit and grant SocialWorkU a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use it to operate and improve the Services. You represent you have the rights to it.
The Services — design, text, graphics, the SWU shield, guides, data compilations, and software — are owned by SocialWorkU or its licensors. We respond to valid DMCA notices; send them to legal@socialworku.com with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512.
The Services link to or integrate third parties (e.g., payment processing, external employer sites). We are not responsible for their content or practices; your use is governed by their terms.
Some features are paid. Applicable fees, billing cycles, and renewal terms are shown before purchase and processed by our payment provider. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable.
Automatic renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate until cancelled. Before you subscribe, we disclose the price, billing frequency, and renewal terms and obtain your affirmative consent. You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@socialworku.com; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Where required by law, we send renewal reminders and honor applicable cancellation and refund rights.
THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOCIALWORKU WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SocialWorkU from claims and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or law.
You may stop using the Services anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risk. Provisions that should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification) survive.
These Terms are a legal agreement between you and SocialWorkU LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“SocialWorkU,” “we,” “us”). These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in New Jersey for disputes not subject to arbitration.
We may update these Terms and will revise the "Last updated" date. Contact: support@socialworku.com.
